I have been Dx'd with Multiple Sclerosis, and PCOS, and I have had success treating both with altenative natural treatments, instead of the traditional meds that are usually Rx'd for these conditions.

MS still in remission

Hi there.  I am over 18 months post partum, and my MS is still in remission.

I still am not taking any MS medications for Tx.  No CRABs, no steroids, no LDN or prokarin either.  Nothing.  I got all my mercury amalgam (poison) dental fillings removed shortly after my MS Dx, and did heavy metal detox for 6 months.  I also took serrapeptase for a while, to work on the scar tissue, to try to get rid of the numbness in my hands that never went away, but since I got PG right after the heavy metal detox, and have been BFing every since the baby was born, so I didn't really want to take it too much.  I'll probably start taking the serrapeptase again after I stop BFing.  Good thing there is just mild numbness left in my hands that is pretty tolerable.

I have been doing ongoing candida control to help keep my PCOS in remission, and that might have helped keep my MS in remission, too.  I have moslty been zapping with the Ultimate Zapper, and taking NSI Candida Yeast Management enzyme supplement, and taking probiotics for candida control.

Still in remission

Here I am for my monthly update.  I am officially 12 months post partum, and my MS is still in remission.  Thank the Lord, and knock on wood.

Right now, I am fighting a tooth infection.  My dentist says that I have to get a root canal, that antibiotics can't reach the infection inside the tooth.  But I am using the zapper, I think that the zapper should be able to get to the infection that is inside the tooth.  I am taking the antibiotics too.  The zapper should help the antibiotics to be more effective.   I am hoping that the zapping will help the yeast stay under control while I am on antibiotics.  I am also taking Yeast defense, and probiotics.  I ran out of the NSI Candida Yeast Management.  I need to order some more.  I also have a Rx of diflucan, but I am not sure if I want to take it yet.  I am little concerned about a die-off reaction, but maybe the zapping is keeping the yeast under control, so there might not be much of a die off reaction, or maybe I won't even need the diflucan.

I have been doing yeast control for the past few months to put my PCOS back into remission, so we can start TTC soon.  Just this cycle, I think I O'ed on time, just waiting to see if AF comes on time.  I was starting to think that my body was ready to start TTC.
I am hoping the antibiotics don't make my PCOS come out of remission and mess up my TTC plans.

Well, I better zap now.  I'll KUP

Still in remission

MS update: I am now 11 months post partum, and the MS is still in remission.  Thank the Lord, and knock on wood.

I have been making green smoothies, basically, just adding raw greens to a fresh raw fruit smoothie.  Most people don't eat enough raw greens, so putting them in a fruit smoothie is a great way to get those raw greens in your diet.

My baby just loves the green smoothies.  They are very delicious, and with the fruits mixed with the greens, you can't even taste the veggies.  My older boys don't want drink them because they are green, but they will drink them, if I can figure out the right bargain to motivate them.

Making smoothies in the blender breaks open more of those tough plant cells releasing more of those vital vitamins and other nutrients.  Plant cells are made of cellulose, which our bodies can't digest, so those cell walls need to be broken open, either by chewing (LOTS of chewing), or in the blender.

Juicing the veggies will also break open those tough cells, but the juice is extracted from the pulp, and the pulp is thrown out.  Many nutrients, and almost all the fiber is thrown out with the pulp.  Without the pulp, the juice has a higher % of sugar, which could lead to a sugar spike in those people who are susceptible.

Making whole food, raw green smoothies is just a better way to maximize the benefits from those foods, and a great way to fit healthy foods into your diet.

I gave a nutrition presentation to my co-workers a few weeks ago, and brought some fresh made green smoothies for everyone to try.  Most of the people said, "Ewww, it's green."  Then they tasted it, and said, "Oh that's not too bad!"  There were a few people who refused to even try it, even after everyone else said that it was pretty good.  Just goes to show that most people assume that healthy food taste bad.

Here are some basic green smoothie recipe instructions, but feel free to experiment to find a combo that you like the best.

Green Smoothie Recipe
Everything is fresh and raw, (or fresh frozen), and goes into the blender, 1 at a time, blending each thing before adding the next.  I add them in the order of the toughest to to the softest.

  1. A juicy fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe etc.), or 100% fruit juice, just enough to cover the blades of the blender.
  2. 3-4 large kales leaves, without the stems.  Blend after adding each leaf.  Can also add 1-2 handfuls of raw fresh spinach leaves, or several handfuls of spinach instead of kale.  Can also add parsley leaves.
  3. Handful of baby carrots, or 1 large carrot, washed & peeled.
  4. 2-3 large red (or yellow) delicious apples
  5. Any other fruit as desired (I like blueberries, mango, peaches, peeled orange)
  6. 2-3 ripe bananas (but not overly ripe).

After all the ingredients are blended smooth, place in a fridge container and chill.

If the blender gets too full, just pour some into your container, and then finish adding the rest of the ingredients, and then mix them in your container (make sure your container holds more than your blender).

The fiber in the greens and fruits will clean out your system; so only drink 6- 8 oz. at a time, 1-3 times a day (as desired).  Since the vitamins are water soluble, and the body can’t store them, it will use what it needs at the time, and discard the rest.

Still in remission!

Today, I am 10 months post partum, and my MS is still in remission.  Thank the Lord, and knock on wood!

I have not been taking any supplements to keep the MS in remission.

I am still taking serrapeptase enzyme to help get rid of any scar tissue: scar tissue caused by MS, and scar tissue caused by the c-section.

I am also taking candida control supplements to help to make sure that my PCOS stays in remission, so I won't have any trouble when I am ready to start TTC #4.

Decided to wait on liquid zeolites

My first post partum AF only stuck around for 3 days. Since I didn't have any other O symptoms, I am thinking that I didn't O this cycle. It must have been the candida control that got AF to start coming again. It usually takes 3-4 months for Candida control to put my PCOS into remission, so I am glad that I started doing candida control early, so hopefully I will start Oing again by Dec.

I started taking liquid zeolites to try to detox some more mercury out of my body before I start TTC again, but now I realize that doing a detox while trying to keep my PCOS in remission probably isn't the best idea.  Candida tends to grow out of control during heavy metal detox.  Even though I am taking candida control products, doing the detox might make it harder for me to keep the candida under control, and hence make it harder to keep my PCOS in remission.  Since I plan to start TTC in  December, keeping the candida and PCOS under control takes priority over gettign rid of the rest of the mercury that is hiding in my body tissues.

AND since my MS is still in remission, getting the rest of the mercury out isn't that urgent.  So I am going to stop taking the liquid zeolites for now.  I guess I should wait until I am done having babies before I finish detoxing all the mercury out of my body.  I hope that the MS will STAY in remission.

I am still taking the serrapeptase, since between the MS lesions, and the c-section, I have a lot of scar tissue in my body I would love to get rid of.
